New Year, new blog...

Well I've been meaning to get round to this for ages but never seemed to find the time. If I'm not crafting and making a mess then I'm trying to tidy up after crafting so I can start all over again! Today should have been a tidying day but I couldn't resist playing with my new Kanban kit from QVC. It's full of gorgeous topper sheets of geishas and Russian matryoshka dolls, as well as teapots and cupcakes, i.e. lots of my favourite things.

I was just going to sit and stroke the various sheets, then thought I'd press a few of the die-cuts out, and before I knew it had planned a card, so it seemed rude not to make it right there and then while it was in my head ;-)

So this is the result...

It started life as an ordinary DL size tent card but wouldn't stay stood up, very annoying. So as I've recently discovered easel cards I took a DL card blank and folded the front in half to make the basic easel card then cut the front from my original card and stuck it on.  A little bit of matting and layering and a flower stuck on with 3D foam and I have a card I'm happy with.

I still have LOADS of the kit left to play with - watch this space!
